Makayla is part of our tax team. She is not alone in wanting her work to serve others. All Welgaard employees want to enrich other people’s lives in some way. That can be seen in the core values of service excellence and care. As a part of the tax department there are specific ways, she is able to find fulfillment in being helpful. She loves to learn practical things and handling money is nothing if not practical. We all have to manage our checking accounts; business owners need to fund operations and there is a high probability that a tax bill will come due. Yet, tax documents can be overwhelming. That is where practicality and being able to assist others collide in her world. She gets to be a part of a team that takes those documents and helps make sense of them for clients. She gets to learn about accounting and help get accounting information to the right team member who can answer our client’s questions. Her favorite part about Welgaard is that there is a team working to help others both with the numbers and beyond them.
